How can I pay my bill?
As a Unitil customer you can choose from a variety of flexible payment options. Please note that while most of our options are free, some incur a small processing fee. If you would like to pay your bill for free, you can do so through your MyUnitil account or pay as a guest. You can also enroll in our convenient automatic bank draft option (UniPay).
Alternatively, you can pay by mail, in person at your nearest Western Union location, or over the phone (call 1-888-301-7700). Please note that while paying through our automated phone system is free, if you would like to make a credit card payment with a live representative you will incur a $2.75 processing fee.

How do I report my power outage?
If you are experiencing a loss of power to your home, you can report your outage online or call our Customer Service line at 1-888-301-7700.
How do I start, stop or move/transfer my service?
If you are moving into the Unitil service area, you may request service to your home or business. Once you have started your service, we also encourage you to set up a MyUnitil online account so that you can manage your account details and view usage and payment history online. If you're already a Unitil customer and need to change your existing service or notify us that you are moving, you can use the following links to fill out the form that meets your needs.
How do I switch to natural gas?
First, you’ll want to find out if we are already serving your neighborhood (check the map > Switch to Gas availability map). If we do service your neighborhood and you’re ready to make the switch, fill out our Switch to Gas form or call us toll-free at 1-888-486-4845 to check availability in your neighborhood.
Can I choose my energy supplier?
As a company, we support the idea that our customers should explore all options available, and that they are free to make a decision on an energy contract that is right for them.
Unitil’s electric customers in Massachusetts and New Hampshire have the option to take supply service from Unitil or purchase their electricity from competitive suppliers. This supply portion of your bill is only one portion of the overall rate that utility customers pay.
All of Unitil’s residential, commercial and industrial natural gas customers also may choose the company that supplies their natural gas – a right often referred to as customer choice. Your options will vary depending on your state.
