Unitil Welcomes Bangor Natural Gas Customers

The Maine Public Utilities Commission approved the acquisition on December 18th, 2024 after an intensive review to ensure there is no compromise in the safety, reliability, or quality of service resulting from this transaction. Unitil’s natural gas distribution system is the largest in Maine serving approximately 41,000 customers from Kittery to Lincoln.

Additional services such as 24/7 Gas Control Center and our Corporate Headquarters are based out of our NH locations, minutes from the Maine border.

We believe Bangor-Area customers will benefit greatly from our industry-leading customer service and operational safety programs, all of which are headquartered here in New England.
