Unitil and United Way of North Central Massachusetts in partnership with MOC will host an energy assistance forum for area nonprofits on Nov. 6 at Great Wolf Lodge.
This is the 24th year that the event has been held where local, state and federal heating assistance and energy efficiency initiatives are reviewed for staff members of nonprofit agencies, who then educate their clients on these programs.
“We believe the local benefits for this event are tremendous—it helps the nonprofits get all the information they need to share with their clients on critical heating assistance programs,” said Unitil External Affairs Director Alec O’Meara. “These heating assistance programs help reduce the financial stress on homeowners and renters during the winter months.”
“We are pleased to collaborate with Unitil to host this annual forum, which will be very informative,” says United Way of North Central Massachusetts Director of Community Impact Judy Tomlinson. “As part of our role in the community, we seek to partner with businesses like Unitil to provide updated resources and information for non-profits throughout the region.”
Nonprofit agencies interested in participating in the event, which starts at 8:30 am, should RSVP to Judy Tomlinson at judy@uwncm.org with the United Way of North Central Massachusetts.
Unitil provides electric service to Ashby, Fitchburg, Lunenburg and Townsend, and natural gas service to those communities, as well as Gardner and Westminster.
