Unitil, a provider of natural gas and electricity to customers in New England, and their employees’ annual United Way giving tops $65,000.
The employees of Unitil have pledged $31,155 to Granite United Way (NH), United Way of Southern Maine, and United Way of North Central Massachusetts through its annual employee campaign drive. In addition, the company matched the employee giving with a $34,000 contribution.
“We couldn’t be happier with our employees, who have faithfully supported year after year the important work United Way does in our community,” Unitil’s External Affairs Director Alec O’Meara said.
United Way supports a series of programs and initiatives around health, education and income. Unitil has supported local United Ways for over two decades, pledging over $500,000 to the nonprofit organizations.
