We are seeing heavy wet snow in high volumes in our service territories. We've already seen close to two feet in the Fitchburg area. Unfortunately, we're expecting to see another six or seven inches from now until midnight.
On top of that, we're going to see high gusty winds. Possibly as high as 60 mph on the coast and 50 mph inland.
We really haven't seen the peak of this storm yet. We're expecting that between now and midnight. Based on what we're already seeing in the field we are expecting this to be a multi-day event.
We're going to be restoring power where we can today but we're also focused on public safety. There are a lot of wires-down calls out there.
Tomorrow, we'll continue to restore but we're also going to be working on that damage assessment. We need a clear picture of what's going on in the field so we understand how long it's going to take to restore power.
