KINGSTON — Judy Post didn’t mind when Unitil workers moved in to cut down trees on her Danville property that could threaten power lines.
“If you don’t lose power it’s a great thing,” she said.
Post was one of Unitil’s customers who visited the Kingston Plains on Saturday to pick up two new trees to plant — a red maple and a service berry.
The Hampton-based utility gave 100 replacement trees to customers whose trees were removed as part of the utility’s storm resiliency program. Unitil also held a free raffle and gave away another 25 trees to its customers.
