Replacing a 10-year-old service vehicle, Unitil's newest natural-gas truck comes updated with the latest technology to allow for safe and speedy repair or installation of gas lines.
"What is great about this new vehicle is that everything is self-contained, making it easier for crews, as well as extending the life of the equipment," said Dan Golden, natural gas manager for Unitil.
According to Golden, the vehicle is equipped so that it can respond to emergencies, which can require breathable air. The truck also has a generator, which powers the tools. Unitil crews, who often must work in the worst possible weather, may also appreciate the outfit's heated workspace.
