The employees of Unitil pledged $5,400 to United Way of North Central Massachusetts’ annual campaign drive.
“The support of Unitil employees will provide nearly 1,000 health and human services, such as providing food assistance, counseling services and assisting those who need a helping hand in our community,” said Maribeth Janssens, director of community impact for United Way of North Central Massachusetts.
According to Alec O’Meara, media relations manager, the company and their employees have supported the work of United Way for many years. “We really like that the focus of their funding is on health and education initiatives, which closely aligns with our values.”
The United Way of North Central Massachusetts annually funds over 100,000 health and human services in 22 towns and cities in the region.
