Unitil raised a record-setting $43,000 as part of its annual United Way employee giving campaign this year.
“We are thrilled not only to reach but exceed our ambitious goal for this year’s United Way campaign with $43,816, surpassing our $40,000 target,” said Alec O’Meara, Unitil’s External Affairs Director. “Our employees are extraordinary and their commitment to helping the community is unmatched.”
In addition to a corporate donation, Unitil also seeks the assistance of their employees to support the work of Granite United Way (NH), United Way of Southern Maine, and United Way of North Central Massachusetts. Employees also donate their time to United Way initiatives such as the Day of Caring and other opportunities throughout the year.
“This achievement speaks volumes about our employees' amazing spirit and dedication. Together, we are making a meaningful difference for those in need right here in our local communities,” said Kristen Anderson, Unitil’s Community Engagement Professional.
United Way’s mission is to improve people’s lives by mobilizing the caring power of the community by investing in the areas of education, health and financial stability.
