The state Division of Parks and Recreation was awarded more than $25,000 in new equipment and construction program rebates by Unitil Corp. for the Hampton Beach State Park redevelopment project.

Energy-efficient heating and air-conditioning equipment, electric fixtures and streetlights were installed at the park, which will assist in reducing monthly energy costs.

Director Phil Bryce recently thanked the staff at Until for assisting the division in its application and stated “Energy efficiency is a simple way to reduce operating costs and the rebates assist in the purchase and installation of the equipment and fixtures.”
