Unitil and the United Way of North Central Massachusetts, in partnership with Making Opportunity Count, will host the 25th Annual Energy Assistance Forum for Nonprofits on Thursday, Oct. 30, at Great Wolf Lodge in Fitchburg.
Now in its 25th year, the forum brings together local, state, and federal experts to review heating assistance and energy efficiency initiatives. The event is designed for staff members of nonprofit organizations, who in turn help educate their clients about available resources.
“This event helps equip nonprofits with the information they need to share with their clients during the winter heating months,” said Unitil’s External Affairs Director, Alec O'Meara. “These programs alleviate some of the financial stress for homeowners and renters, which is why it is so important to get the word out to as many agencies as possible.”
“We are pleased to continue our collaboration with Unitil to host this annual forum, which promises to be very informative,” added Judy Tomlinson, director of community impact for United Way of North Central Massachusetts. “As part of our commitment to the community, we aim to partner with businesses like Unitil to provide updated resources and information for nonprofits across the region.”
Nonprofit agencies interested in participating are encouraged to RSVP to Jill Wilson at jill@uwncm.org
