22nd Annual Energy Assistance Forum to be held for Nonprofits

Fitchburg, MA

Unitil and United Way of North Central Massachusetts in partnership with New England Farm Workers’ Council are hosting an energy assistance forum for area nonprofits on August 10 at Great Wolf Lodge.

This is the 22nd year that the event has been held where local, state and federal heating assistance and energy efficiency initiatives are reviewed for staff members of nonprofit agencies, who promote the programs with their clients.

“We moved up the meeting date this year so the nonprofits have more time than usual for proactive outreach to their clients and the community. The goal is to get as many folks assistance as possible because of inflationary pressures affecting virtually every sector of our economy,” said Alec O’Meara, media relations manager for Unitil.

Nonprofit agencies interested in participating in the event, which starts at 8:30 am, August 10, should RSVP to Lisa Normandin at lisa@uwncm.org with the United Way of North Central Massachusetts.

Unitil provides electric service to Ashby, Fitchburg, Lunenburg and Townsend, and natural gas service to those communities, as well as Gardner and Westminster.
