1,000 volunteers join United Way's Day of Caring

More than 1,000 volunteers spent the day making a difference across the Seacoast on Wednesday.

Organized by United Way of the Greater Seacoast, the sixth annual United Way Spring Day of Caring enables volunteer teams from local businesses and community organizations to complete one-time service projects to benefit area nonprofits and their clients...

...Volunteers from 36 local groups worked with 54 nonprofits on projects including landscaping, painting, building, cleaning, repairing and trail-clearing activities. Approximately $138,000 in volunteer time was donated.
