Massachusetts Gas Customers
The Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities (DPU) issued an order (D.P.U. 20-80) aimed at achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions from natural gas distribution by 2050. This order requires local gas distribution companies, including Unitil, to develop comprehensive Climate Compliance Plans (CCPs) every five years, with the first plan due on April 1, 2025.
We are committed to ensuring our CCP reflects the needs and perspectives of our customers and communities. To facilitate this, two virtual listening sessions will be held where individuals and organizations can learn more about the new DPU strategy, discuss elements of the CCPs, and share their insights.
What to Expect:
These sessions will provide a clear understanding of:
- The new DPU strategy for the future of natural gas distribution.
- The elements that will be included in the Climate Compliance Plans (CCP).
- The opportunity to voice your opinions, ask questions, and provide feedback.
Virtual Listening Sessions
