Position Description: 

Communicate with software support programmers and trainers to debug, critique, build and test reports, system fixes or enhancements for vendor supported systems assigned.  Act as the primary contact and liason for vendor support; analyze and document problems; recommend solutions; initiate and coordinate corrective actions; communicate status to stakeholders; and update problem reporting systems. Provide operating metrics information to inform on systems or trouble response performance.  Provide project management and support services for departmental systems and objectives.  Review, analyze and prioritize stakeholder related requirements, procedures and problems to develop system enhancements, improve operating procedures, and recommend software upgrades or purchases.

Qualifications: 

The successful candidate will have a BS/BA in Computer Science or a related field, 5 years’ experience designing or implementing software services or information technology with experience managing software project deployments and/or training; advanced knowledge of personal computers and software including:  system security, word processing, spreadsheet, database and business applications; and working knowledge of project management principles and a track record of successful project involvement.  Utility industry experience preferred.
