Payroll and Benefits Processor
Position Concept
Perform timely and accurate preparation and reconciliation of weekly, semi-monthly and monthly payrolls for
assigned companies and employees through the processing of time entries, and entering and verifying pay, taxes
and deductions from pay. Assist with the administration of employee benefit plans (pension, 401(k), 3 medical plans,
dental, basic life, supplemental life, basic AD&D, supplemental AD&D, LTD long-term care, dependent care, COBRA, educational
assistance) by maintaining accurate records of enrollments, changes and terminations and by the timely and accurate payment of
insurance premiums and communication of employee changes with third party vendors as needed. Provide timely and accurate communication
of payroll related information to internal departments, third party vendors and regulatory agencies.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have an Associates degree or equivalent business experience; one to two years
of payroll processing experience, and familiarity with benefits administration. Strong organizational skills
and detail orientation to successfully handle deadlines and working knowledge of automated payroll systems,
related tax filings, and personal computers a must. Must have ability to maintain strict confidentiality of
personal employee information.
