Associate Energy Analyst
Position Concept
In this position, you will develop a solid understanding of Unitil's tariffs for retail electric and natural gas service
and of the regional wholesale electric and natural gas markets within which Unitil operates. Your responsibilities will include
utilizing various data transfer programs to report electric generation and load data from within Unitil's local distribution
company service areas, and to verify natural gas commodity and transmission services received. You will utilize this data,
along with contract and tariff provisions, to verify and process invoices from Unitil's wholesale service providers.
You will also assist in the development of Unitil's annual energy and transmission budgets, and subsequent budget variance
analyses, and provide support for reconciling rate recovery filings. Other responsibilities include providing technical
support for energy supply solicitations, natural gas Integrated Resource Plans and special projects.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a Bachelors degree in a technical or business field such as mathematics,
engineering, finance or economics and/or directly related work experience; strong communications skills; well
developed PC and analytical skills; be detail-oriented; be able to process extensive data in a timely fashion;
and be a able to work as a team player.
